We go beyond traditional dog training by fostering a vibrant community where owners can explore various training methods, share experiences, and support one another. Our commitment encompasses nurturing understanding, trust, and communication between dogs and their humans.

The Story Behind It All
Every Dog Deserves a Second Chance
During Derek’s time working at a local animal shelter, he witnessed something that changed him forever. Thousands of dogs — good dogs, loving dogs — were being surrendered not because they were dangerous or broken, but because of small, fixable behaviors that their owners simply didn’t know how to address.
A dog that jumped too much. One that pulled on the leash. Another that barked at strangers. Problems that could have been solved in a few sessions ended up costing those dogs their homes — and sometimes their lives.
That experience is the reason Bark N’ Train exists. Every program we offer is designed not just to train your dog, but to keep them in your home for life. And a portion of every program goes directly to supporting local shelter dogs who are still waiting for their second chance.
Every dog deserves a loving home. Every owner deserves the confidence to provide one.

Our free monthly Paws & Practice event brings graduates together every second Saturday to practice skills, share experiences, and celebrate the bonds they’ve built with their dogs.
